Dear Parents and Carers,

Next academic year, we will be introducing a new event called Meet Your Coach and Teacher Day (MYCAT). This event will combine our traditional Meet Your Coach Day and Parents’ Evening into one.

What is MYCAT?
MYCAT will provide an opportunity for you to meet with both your child’s coach and their subject teachers. During these meetings, you can discuss your child’s academic progress and have coaching conversations to support their development.

We believe that combining these appointments will have a positive impact on your child’s progress. By bringing together coaching and teaching conversations, we aim to offer better support to both our students and families.

What to Expect at MYCAT?
MYCAT will be an important event throughout your child’s time at Co-op Academy
Priesthorpe. It will include:

● Year-Specific Information: Details about upcoming events like options, careers guidance, and exam support.
● Family Support: Information about the support services available for families.
● Information and Stalls.
● A uniform and equipment shop.
● Information about extracurricular activities.
● Workshops focused on pupils wellbeing and academic needs.
● Showcase of Pupils’ Work: An opportunity to see some pupils work and to celebrate pupils’ achievements.

When Will MYCAT Take Place?
MYCAT events will be held throughout the academic year and will replace the
traditional September Meet Your Coach Day. On MYCAT days the Academy will
finish lessons at 12:35pm so that appointments can be held from 1pm- 7pm.

The MYCAT dates are as follows:
