Careers Fair

Dear Parent/Carer,

On Friday 8th December our school will be hosting a whole school Careers Fair. All of our
students in years 7-13 will access the fair during the course of the day. More information will be communicated to students during coaching on Wednesday this week.

The main purpose of the Careers Fair is for students to find out about what fantastic
opportunities are available to them once they leave school, including information about
Apprenticeships, T Levels, A Levels and other full time programmes. The inspiring event will get them thinking about what career they want to pursue and hopefully raise their future aspirations.

We have many confirmed organisations that will be exhibiting, these include the British Army,
RAF, NHS, Leeds Mathematics School, University of Bradford just to name a few. This really
is an exciting opportunity not to be missed.

In addition to the employers, colleges, and universities that will be exhibiting, students will have the opportunity to meet our school’s careers advisor, Christine Humberstone. Christine works at Co-op Academy Priesthorpe on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and offers our students one to one personal guidance sessions.

During this meaningful experience our students will be asked to complete an Exploring Career’s Activity sheet, which will encourage our students to ask the exhibitors questions about opportunities they offer and get them to further explore career pathways that they may have never considered or be aware even existed. All completed activity sheets will be entered into a prize draw.

I look forward to meeting you

Kind Regards

Mrs R Gupta
