Punctuality Expectations
Re: Punctuality Expectations
Dear Parents/Carers,
At Co-op Academy Priesthorpe, we place a high value on punctuality as it is an essential life skill and a key part of maintaining high standards for our students. Arriving on time sets the tone for the day, supports learning, and ensures students do not miss vital information. Minutes late to lessons have a significant impact on students' learning.
From Tuesday 7th of January, we will be making changes to our Behaviour for Learning Policy regarding punctuality to ensure that all students arrive at school on time and are ready to learn.
-
Students must be in their specific classroom or assembly by 8.30am (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 9.00am (Tuesday and Thursday)
-
Any student who arrives late, even by 1 minute, will receive a 1-hour detention after school the same day.
This policy is designed to encourage students to take responsibility for their punctuality and to minimise disruption to their own learning and that of others.
We appreciate your support in helping us uphold these expectations, which play a vital role in preparing students for the world beyond school. If you have any questions about this change or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for working with us to ensure the best outcomes for your child.
Best regards
Liam King
