Uniform expectations - December 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

At Coop Academy Priesthorpe, we believe wearing the correct uniform is an important part of being part of our school. It helps students feel proud to belong to our community and creates a positive environment for learning.

As we approach the start of a new term it feels timely to share a reminder around uniform, particularly for those of you who may be replacing or updating any uniform this holiday. All students are expected to wear the full and correct uniform. For more details about uniform expectations please see our policy Behaviour for Learning Policy (2024) - Coop Academy Priesthorpe. Students who do not follow the uniform policy may not be allowed into lessons and may need to borrow items from school.

Here are some key reminders:

  • Jewellery: Only stud earrings are allowed. Hooped earrings, facial piercings (except a single nose stud), and necklaces worn outside the uniform are not allowed.

  • Appearance: Fake eyelashes and false nails are not allowed at any time.

  • Footwear: Shoes must be completely black, including the sole and any logos.

I would also like to highlight our continued work with The Pudsey Community Project. Based in Pudsey, they have a good supply of pre-loved Priesthorpe uniforms. For more details please see the website https://www.pudseycommunity.org.uk/reducereuse.

Thank you for your support in helping us maintain high standards. By working together, we can ensure a respectful and focused school environment where every student can succeed.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Best regards,

Liam King
Vice Principal (Behaviour and Attitudes)
