Reopening of Schools for Year 10 and 12 students
During his update on 28 June, the Prime Minister outlined that the government’s 5 Coronavirus benchmark tests had been met and, as such, secondary schools would be able to re-open to Year 10 and 12 students to enable “some face-to-face support with their teachers” before the end of the summer term.
We are delighted that we can welcome at least some of our students back to school before the summer holidays begin.
Please follow the link below to our Coronavirus letters page, where further details can be found.
Thank you for all your support as we work as a community to adapt to a new way of living and a new way of working.

Most of our students are now successfully working from home using Google Classrooms.
To access work set by teachers, our students need to enter a code:
Free School Meals
For parents of students who receive Free School Meals, the Co-op has very generously agreed to provide £20 vouchers, which can be spent in any Co-op store. This letter provides further details about the vouchers and how they can be spent.
We have distributed £20 Co-op Food Vouchers to over 340 families. Please remember these cards will have £20 uploaded automatically to them every Monday, during our period of closure.
If any parents or carers are experiencing particular hardship, please contact the academy on firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do all we can to help.
Following on from the government’s directive, from 23 March, the academy will only be open for students with Education Health and Care Plans, other vulnerable students (who will already have been contacted by school) and students of parents/carers who are defined as ‘Key Workers’. Please follow this link to see which employees fall into this category.
If you believe you are a ‘Key Worker’ and have not already done so, please can you complete the following short survey to let us know if we should expect your child to be in school on Monday 23 March.
We will keep in touch with you via our website, texts, and via Twitter. If you need to contact us, please can you do so via email@example.com unless you are concerned about a child protection or safeguarding matter, in which case you should contact either:

Our staff, like you, are very worried about the uncertainty that lies ahead over the coming weeks and, potentially months. We will be doing everything we can to keep your child’s learning going from home. It has been humbling to see, hear and feel how our community has rallied together over the last week to move forward positively, as best we can. Thank you for your support.
