Year 7 Letter – Additional Information

Dear Parent/ carer,

I hope you and your families are well and that your son/ daughter has enjoyed their first weeks as part of the Academy community.

As promised, please find information relating to the following:

Parent Pay

Parent Pay is the Academies online payment method for such things as  lunches, ties, equipment and trips. You should now have received your unique parent pay code and set up your account online. If you have not received this information then please contact bethan.mills@coopacademies.co.uk . We are aware that there have been some nationwide issues with Parent Pay which have made it difficult for money to be loaded and used by the students. Our finance team is in regular contact with the company and will endeavour to resolve all issues as soon as they can. Until further notice, if your son/daughter’s account has any issues then please be assured they will not be refused lunch. Can I also make you aware that the option to pay for the school tie is now live and this payment would be greatly appreciated at your earliest convenience.

Lockers

Students will be able to book a locker for the forthcoming year very soon. Our office Manager Mr Calrvalho, will be sending you information shortly so please watch out for this.

ClassCharts app

ClassCharts is an online app which allows parents to track their son/ daughters behaviour and attendance, access their timetable and view homework tasks and detentions. We strongly advise all parents/ carers and students to access this platform through the ClassChart website or through the iOS/ android apps.

Students and parents/carers each have their own login and we would again encourage both to use the app separately. Students have already been given their unique password in coaching. Parent login details will be given this week.

My Ed app

MyEd is the school’s communication app. Information about your son / daughter’s attendance is available. Students’ progress data, letters from the academy and additional information which may need to be sent electronically will be sent via this platform. This app also gives you the opportunity to make contact with the school’s attendance team. Please click on the link to find out more https://www.myedschoolapp.com/ . To login to this app you will simply need to download it and it will navigate you through the steps. You do not need an access code from school.

Finally, many of you will be aware that Miss Mills is the Year 7 Manager. She is responsible for the pastoral care of those within the year group and should be contacted on bethan.mills@coopacademies.co.uk if you have any day to day issues and concerns.
