We are delighted to invite you to the Academy on Thursday, 17th October for your child’s first Meet Your Coach and Teacher day. (MYCAT)

What is MYCAT?

MYCAT is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s coach and their subject teachers. During these meetings, you can discuss your child’s academic progress and have coaching conversations to support their development.

By combining coaching and teaching conversations, we aim to offer enhanced support to our students and families. It will also be a great opportunity to discuss how your child is settling into Co-op Academy Priesthorpe.

What to Expect at MYCAT

MYCAT will be a key event in your child’s time at Co-op Academy Priesthorpe. It will include:

• Year-Specific Information: Details about upcoming events such as options, careers guidance, and exam support.

• Family Support: Information on support services available for families.

• A Uniform and Equipment Shop.

• Information on Extracurricular Activities.

• Showcase of Pupils’ Work: A chance to see examples of pupils' work and celebrate their achievements.

What Will Happen on the Day?

On Thursday, 17th October, the Academy will finish lessons at 12:35 p.m. to allow appointments to be held from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Offering appointment times during the afternoon and early evening, we aim to make sure all families can find a time to suit. Lunch will be available for students from 12.35pm until 1pm.

You can book appointments with your child’s teachers and coach via Arbor, using the parental portal. Appointment bookings will be open until 15th October. If you encounter any issues with the booking system, please contact the office. We encourage you to make your coaching appointment first.
