On Thursday, October 17th, we celebrated our first Meet Your Coach and Teachers (MYCAT) event for Year 7. It was a wonderful success. Our Year 7 families joined us at the academy, taking the opportunity to meet our dedicated teaching staff and coaches.

Families were treated to delicious food while engaging in conversations with staff in the Help Hub. Our staff members were excited to share insights into the academic journey that lies ahead for Year 7 students and to discuss the extracurricular opportunities available. The positive energy and community feel in the room was amazing. Families engaged in meaningful conversations, building relationships that will support their child's 5 year journey through Co-op Academy Priesthorpe.

A major highlight of the evening was the presence of various community groups that joined us, including MindMate, Bradford Youth Service, and Pudsey Community Project. Their participation enriched the event and provided valuable resources for our families.  We thank them for their ongoing support. A special thank you to Zarah and Mary Magdalen CIC for sending in materials for the event.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the Year 11 MYCAT event on December 12th. We look forward to welcoming our Year 11 students and their families for an informative evening focused on crucial advice regarding GCSEs, signposting to support available both in school and within the community.

We are thrilled to have such strong participation from our Year 7 families, and we look forward to nurturing these connections throughout their school life. Thank you to everyone who attended and made our first MYCAT Day a memorable event!
