Invitation to Our First Community Iftar
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Re: Invitation to Our First Community Iftar
We are thrilled to announce that our school will be hosting its first Community Iftar on Thursday, 20th March. A Community Iftar is a special event where people from all walks of life come together to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate unity, diversity, and the spirit of togetherness within our school community.
We would like to emphasise that this is a community event, and all families from our school are warmly invited to join us in this celebration. It will be an excellent opportunity for our students to learn more about their peers and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures and traditions that make up our school community.
In the lead-up to the Iftar, we will be organising a range of exciting fundraising events, and there will be plenty of opportunities for pupils to get involved. These activities aim to engage our students and foster a sense of community spirit as we prepare for the big day.
On the day of the Community Iftar, pupils may also choose to participate in the fast to experience and understand what it is like. This can be a meaningful and reflective experience for those who wish to join in.
If you would like to come to the Community Iftar, which will be on Thursday 20th March 2025, at 5pm, please complete the form to help us cater for the correct numbers. We are asking for a £1 donation per person for the event. These donations will go directly to Leeds Children’s Hospital and the Bradford Royal infirmary Children’s Ward.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that on Saturday, 22nd March, we will be holding a Bike Giveaway! This event is open to everyone in the school community, providing an opportunity for families to come and pick up a bike to take home, free of charge. More details on the Bike Giveaway to follow soon.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at these events. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your continued support in making our school a vibrant and inclusive community.
