Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to invite you to the Academy on Thursday, 12th December, for your child’s Year 11 Meet Your Coach and Teacher day (MYCAT).

What is MYCAT?
At the MYCAT event, your child will be able to collect their Trial Examination results. Following this, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your child’s coach and subject teachers to discuss their progress and areas for development. These meetings will cover your child’s academic targets, and during the coaching conversation, you’ll be able to discuss their plans for next year. This event will be incredibly valuable as your child approaches their GCSE examinations.

Additional Information Available at MYCAT:

• Year 11 Information presentation: Covering upcoming events like revision, career guidance, and exam support.

• Pudsey Sixth Form College: Representatives available to discuss post-Year 11 options.

• Family Support: Information on support services available for families from Community groups.

• Uniform and Equipment Shop.

• Extracurricular Activities.

• Revision Resources and Guides: A chance to explore available revision materials.

What Will Happen on the Day?
On Thursday, 12th December, the Academy will finish lessons at 12:35 p.m., allowing for appointments from 1:30 p.m to 7:00 p.m By offering times during both the afternoon and early evening, we aim to accommodate all families. Lunch will be available for students from 12:35 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

During the event, there will be food available for families, and a Year 11 information presentation which will be held three times at 2:30 p.m, 4:30 p.m, and 6:15pm—covering key ways to support your child. Please note that appointments will pause during these presentations.

Booking Your Appointments
You can book appointments with your child’s teachers and coach via Arbor, using the parental portal. Appointment bookings will be open until 10th December. If you experience any issues with the booking system, please contact the office. We encourage you to book your coaching appointment first.
